A mosaic-diary


The ancient land of silk, tea-plantations and Confucius has awoken from a long sleep.
Opening up slowly has naturally provoked curiosity and the necessity for cultural exchanges between East and West, two such different civilizations. Music of course is the best possible means of communication. After a fascinating tour of five concerts in ten days, I have a feeling of at least having tasted – literally and in an abstract sense – the China of today.
